The City by the Sea.
Wilhelmshaven, founded as an imperial naval port, is a relatively young city. The street system, largely laid out in a grid pattern, is an indication of its planning on the drawing board. Buildings from this era are mostly characterized by their clinker brick architectural style. There are even buildings in the style of Brick Expressionism, such as the town hall. However, buildings from long before the Prussian founding are still occasionally found in the cityscape. All in all, Wilhelmshaven has a high recognition value from the perspective of its cityscape, as it is visibly difficult to find a landmark without a maritime connection.

Ich vermisse meine Heimatstadt schon ein bisschen. Als ich nach etwas gesucht habe, das mich an sie erinnert, habe ich dieses Poster mit den Wahrzeichen von WHV gefunden.
Ich habe es im Flur aufgehängt, wie du auf den Bildern sehen kannst. Es ist wirklich so:
Immer, wenn ich zur Arbeit, zum Einkaufen, aufs WC, ins Schlafzimmer usw. gehe, werde ich daran erinnert, woher ich komme.
